The Emergency Medical Center at Central Hospital was designated as a Regional Emergency Medical Institution by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2008 and has received Grade A ratings for three consecutive years in the national Emergency Medical Institution Evaluation. As a key provider of regional emergency care, the center operates a comprehensive emergency medical system that seamlessly connects emergency treatment, surgery, and hospitalization.

To ensure rapid diagnosis and treatment, advanced imaging equipment, including AI-enabled MRI and CT systems, is strategically positioned within the emergency care pathway, while a 24-hour diagnostic testing system supports immediate clinical decision-making.

Dedicated waiting areas and patient-centered facilities help provide a more comfortable experience for both patients and their families during emergency situations.

2Specialized Emergency Care Services

The Emergency Medical Center provides a wide range of life-saving emergency procedures, including Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)-related procedures

    Central venous catheter insertion

    Airway management procedures

    Chest tube insertion

    Treatment of severe trauma patients

3Optimized Emergency Treatment System

Patients are triaged according to the severity of their condition using a color-coded system:

  • RED Zone

    Critical and life-threatening conditions

  • YELLOW Zone

    Urgent conditions requiring prompt treatment

  • GREEN Zone

Emergency physicians perform an initial assessment, including medical history review and physical examination, followed by necessary laboratory tests and imaging studies.
